Fuel Length

I want to know how long fuel length should be with different tank sizes. If you can figure out how many cc your nitro vehicles tank holds and if you are running any special parts tell me how long it lasts please. If you have any ideas on how to go longer on less fuel I am listening!

They only way to run longer is by tuning and adjusting driving style. There is no secret pill that will improve fuel economy, per se.

As monkey said, it depends on how good your tune, your particular setup and conditions. Too many variables to give a specific number.

Even if the rc's are exactly alike they won't run for the same amount of time, as stated before there are to many contributing factors that determine how long an rc can run on any particular amount of fuel.

R/C's do not come with EPA MPG stickers on them like 1:1 vehicles do and no manufacturer can state with any certainty that their rig will run either "X" hours or "Y" miles on a tank or gallon of fuel, it's just not possible to determine that given the variables of engine size, engine manufacturer, fuel type, ambient temperature, surface condition or the celestial positioning of particular planets.

I suppose my point is, if you are basing a buying decision on fuel economy, you may want to consider alternate criteria to base your decision on. My Revo with the 2.5r engine may possibly run longer than someone's T-Maxx with the 2.5r or shorter than the Team Associated RC10GT with the stocker .15. All have the same engine size and relatively same tank capacity, but the other variables just play too much into the equation to get a consistent comparison.

Maybe if you shared why this bit of information is of importance, you can get the help you are seeking.

My t-maxx for example would run about 8 minute's per tank pending on how many wide open pass's i made,My cen MT2 i had on the other hand got less than 5 min's per tank and i was driving like a granny. It would idle for about 6-8 minutes on a tank of fuel. My savage with a wasp.28 idle's for about 20 minute's on a tank of gas. Not sure what the minute's on normal running tank for the savage is yet since it's acting goofy. My tank on the savage is 175cc i think,My t-maxx was 150cc and the cen was 150cc if i can remeber right.

All day long if you keep the tank filled! That's the upside of nitro!

my stock t-maxx 3.3 will run between 10 and 15 minutes on a tank of fuel.

Most RCs with a 125cc tank and a .15 to a .21 engine which is very common will get anywhere from 8-15min on avarage I have found, a properly tuned engine will have better fuel mileage than a rich, worn, badly tunned engine.

Like on my Hyper .21 I use about 8in of fuel line and I also have a 2 high capacity Big Daddy Fuel filters, which bumped up my amount of fuel I can carry thus bumping up my run times.

But it is different with everyone and everything, ALL rc's are different.

Sometimes I burn through 1/2 to 1 gallon racing depending on how many classes I run usually 2 or 3 and how many practice laps I turn.
