I think i have had one of those problems in the past...... I think I am going to go back to trinity monster horsepower..

I found this website about nitro fuels. It explains what they believe to be the best oil content and why they think that.

http://www.rchobbies.org/understanding_fuel.htm

I only read it, Idk if I should believe it or not

That's a good writeup, especially the part about oil content. They are 100% spot on in everything they said. I've had people new to the hobby try and convince me that their Top Fuel with 15% oil content will keep their engine much more lubricated and give them longer engine life.... *facepalm*

This brings me back to the post I made earlier in the thread about someone I know that on average runs their TRX 3.3 @ 305* on 20% Top Fuel and it blows smoke like it still has break-in needle settings. Having that much oil content gives you absolutely ZERO ability to judge your tune based on smoke trail.

I tried calling and asking traxxas how much oil is in top fuel because it isnt labeld and the assholes literaly told me they couldnt say, Like it is some huge secret....... They tried to tell me that there is no such thing as to much oil and then tried to convince me by telling me he runs 24%oil in his planes..........

I thought you had the right to know what was in a product you are buying and using............. How can they clame it is the best when they can't even tell you whats in it to prove how good it is.........

my choices... blue thunder --sidewinder--or riches brew.... whats your guyes take on those

I wasn't happy with the Blue Thunder Sport fuel. I was much more impressed by the HP8 which is a low oil content version (8%) and would recommend it.

Friend and I just ordered a case (4 gallons) of blue thunder 30%

its good stuff, better then traxxas top fuel.
