i've had some O'donnel 20% about a gallon and a half..wondering if it is any good...it has set up for like 2 to 3 months..been closed off and sitting on a wood table in my room...
As long as the cap was tightly closed, the room temp is stable and it hasn't been exposed to direct sunlight, it should be fine.
In the future, fuel should be stored on the floor, where it's always cooler.
i have used some that was like 6 months old and it worked fine no problems but the only reason i used it was b/c i had nothing else and the coleset hs is accross town and at the time i had mommy take me everywhere and she never wanted me to go over there
but i would say try it and see what happens other will tell you to only use it for part cleaning but most of all do not burn it
I store mine in a cool yet dry area. Storing the fuel is key to longer lasting fuel. Storing it in a hhumid area can cause condesation to build up within the bottle or can as the can or bottle is semi-permeable. A place where you know it is safe from kids and temps that are as Rolex said "stable".Usually in a high place it can go bad as heat rises.
well thanx for the info ya'll..well i did something stupid and went and smelled it and it smells like it was bought new..so I don't know if a smell can tell if its good or bad...but I know one thing my nose burns like a mofo...
I read somewhere that you should keep it off of a bare floor.. like tile and concrete.
Carpet is ok. I think the temp of the floor makes the fuel separate??
something like that.
near the floor or on carpet is OK.
(this is what i read.. and so far so good with me.. )
I would think the reason you keep it off a concert floor is concert attracts moister and so it would attract moister to the fuel which methanol is a moister magnet.
It's not the moisture from concrete that causes the problem. It's the lime content. If you store tires on cement, they will dry rot, and so will a plastic container. Anything stored on bare concrete should be on a piece of wood.
