no i wouldnt say it was useless info ....at the very least we all saw how well rush handles a deal that go's south

the only problem i had was you said WE filled the diff's with fluid and gave weights ..witch was not true ...but would be something not many would check on so id be easy to lie about ...though I'm not saying you did ...i would still do a deal with you now
because i think you were kinda the middleman in this deal and I'm sure you learned from this ...

buggy you were responsible for what you say to others...if nothing else you now know your brother cannot be trusted...that's sad when your own brother is scumming you...he should give bruce a little something for his time and parts....hell I charge 50 bucks to rebuild diffs...just labor and oil in that price....$5 is a little shy of what this guys time was worth......and I'm not writting you off in my book buggy....I just hope you vouch for people you can trust in the future...lesson #1 in life Screw me once shame on you...screw me twice shame on me.....I am a firm beleiver in this philosophy....now when your brother asks for help w/ his buggy charge him and send bruce some dough.......

Thats what i am talken about great post plaidfish.. A man's time is worth money..

What does a Hobby shop charge for that????I should clarify my pricing...also includes all the little shims..I get real anal about those and I seem to have stock gears that last forever......

$50!!!! Whoa! I should look into that! I never knew you could get paid that much to do 3 diffs! Well... I'm sorry Bruce, people keep saying that $5 is not enough, but my dad wont let my brother give out anymore money (Its his credit card on paypal) sorry about that. I wish this would just end.. really. I think I'm gonna ask one of the mods to just block this thread cuz people are just making this deeper and deeper. (my hobby shop gives you a 10% off card when you buy a car there and the card gives free maintenance for a year. Then you can renew the card for $5 when its over for another year and so on.) not saying anything... Ill keep my mouth shut.

I'm sure he would take a Mony order, get your bro to do some work make a lil cash and send it, your father will not have to know...........

boy i wish i had a hobby shop that would do that!

damn i just wish i had a hobby shop within 50 miles.....

move out of the sticks...... :jk: I wish I could live in the sticks sometimes....less people to hassle w/

Buggy I really didn't mean for that to sound like I was coming down on you....I've been in your situation where I was just helping someone and I ended up getting in a little bit of poopoo over it......I was just trying to point out your brother should be a little more gracious for what bruce did for him......and now you understand what it means when you put your word up for someone and it comes back and bites you in the ass.....like if I c0-sign for a loan I am putting my word on the line that the person I am co-signing for is an honest person.......if that person scums out on the loan, I am now responsible because I gave my word that they would do the right thing...now that is hard to not do when it's your brother, I know......but next time he asks for your help where you are putting your word up.....make him understand what this all means by not doing it so freely.....hence the statement "screw me once shame on you....screw me twice shame on me"......I mean you no I'll will......I just have strong feelings about how we as a society veiw honesty and what a mans word means today.......okay enough philosophy lesson......go play w/ your buggy ya lil bastid.....

IMO this is a perfect example of two people trading un-seen product over the internet.
When I look at this trade I see two people communicating and working things out to an end result.

In no way am I going to say it was the perfect trade because it wasn’t. Reading the posts made from the peanut gallery it seems that some people are trying to place blame on buggyracer. I don’t see it this way. At any time Bruce could have just sent the buggy back and said thanks but no thanks. Instead, Bruce made the choice to see if he could fix it. This was Bruce’s choice. Was it part of the original deal? No, but it was Bruce’s choice to do it. Buggyrace never asked him to do anything nor is Buggyracer responsible for the time or costs involved in fixing it. It was Bruce’s choice.

From what I read neither party tried to deceive the other nor was their ever any bad feelings. I saw two people willing to do what was needed to make the deal happen. There were a few obstacles along the way in communication but everything got worked out.

Again this trade was far from perfect. I must commend Bruce for going above and beyond what most people would have to make it work. I must also give a hand to Buggyracer for keeping the ball rolling and the line of communication open.

I hope everyone can learn from this thread that people can work out issues if both parties are willing. No name calling no accusations, just good old-fashioned trust, elbow grease and communication.

I think Ed just called me an obstacle.
