Well I am not having any luck with this buggy it is just running backwards no matter what direction I start it on my starter box. The motor fires right up and seems to run stong its just going in the wrong direction.
I was not planning on getting something that needed to be fixed and do not plan on eating something major or spend a whole lot of time fixing it.
At this point I will be more then happy to put it back in the box and send it back to you to fix or just return it. You or your bother or dad can call me @ 214-687-8877 to discuss.
Here are the things that I did fix on it - Engine head screws tightened (most were loose and one was almost out all the way, Front Upper Control Arm C-Clip installed on left hand side
Just let me know what you would like to do. I can remove the motor and drive train and rebuild it all and I can then see what is going on with that way.

if u have another motor y dont u stick that in it and see if the motors is wats wrong with it???... just a suggesstion

i might be wrong about this but to my knowledge when you look at a 1/8 buggy either front or rear the bevel gear will always be on the left when looking at either end of the car. also if put on the same side they will turn against each other and the car want go anywhere. also engines can run backwards when fired,reason being is the ek4 would crank,but would kick in reverse (clockwise). just helping out,and not stepping on any toes!

No toes being stepped on I just want to get this running right or get it back to him - but would prefer to get it working. I have heard and read that if a motor is running backwards that it will not run that well. This motor apart from being very rich runs quite nice.rcguru30 said:
He did say that they did maintenance on it and I was wondering if they put it together backwards.
He made a comment about his dad and brother getting upset that I have not sent out the new buggy yet - just trying to get it solved to where everyone is happy.

Ya, I know, we arent angry.... But my brother was expecting to get the buggy much earlier. If you would prefer to fix the buggy instead of shipping it back to us that would be cool... I'll have to discuss it with them. I thought that you wouldn't want to work on it at all so i thought there was no other thing to do except get the buggy back... That would really suck tho. We're not mad.
I REALLY think that the problem is that the diffs are in backwards... So, if you dont mind taking out a few screws and scrwithing the diffs around, I think that would fix it. Hey, its worth a try. that way, if you get intot the buggy and find something that would cause the buggy to go backwards, we wouldn't have a problem any more.

When my omega started backwards, it was the weirdest sounding thing and when I gave it gas, it was slow to rev up.
I've put the diffs in reverse on my maxx before. Really sucked. Drove the thing right up my leg.

Thanks bruce! I think that would suck to pack it back up and then send it again. So right after you find the problem and fix it, you'll send it? (brian just asked me that)
None of my buisness,but buggyracer you should be so greatfull that Rush is willing to do this.I would think that his time to fix the buggy to make it right after the original deal of just a swap,should be justified.This in my opinion is unfair to him.Not triing to offend anyone or pi$$ anyone off but the deal went a little sour.I know that I would've sent it back or asked for some cash for compensation.I hope you guys end up satisfied with your deal.

I know! I'm extrememly greatfull. I thought this was gonna be a quick swap but my brother had to do everything wrong.

OMG..... :spit: I can't believe how crappy he takes care of his cars.... I'm terribly sorry. I never thought that he would do such lame work... I really had no idea. :thumbdown But I am almost positive I saw him put fluid in there!
lol yeah if i saw that it would be at theur door step right now, but of cource if it were running back words id send it back too. not hatin or trying to start an argument jsut stating what i would do and now i will go because I'm not helpong the situation at all. good luck u two on the rest of the deal.
Hopefully our deal goes smoother... that's for sure.

Guys... I just wanted to say that none of this is my fault AT ALL! If my brother would have taken care of his holy moly car we wouldn't be in such a mess! THANK YOU bruce for not sending it back and actually taking the car apart! You are a GREAT guy!
