I bent my front drive shaft,(in a huge accident) the one that goes from the transmission forward. I heated it and bent it back to nearly straight. Will this do, or does this shaft need to be perfectly straight?

I think the straighter the better. But i reckon if you can stick it in, and it can move freely without any friction, it should be ok

I've bent the outdrives on my savage before. tried to straiten it back out ( got it pretty close) but the rpm the tires run and the wiggle from it being bent, bent it right back out, even worse, and almost tore the arms off the truck it was shaking so hard. not sure what truck you have but the savage ones are pretty beefy, a lighter one may work fine. the aluminum centers on my hyper 7 were bent and never caused a problem.

not to mention that where it was bent back/forth is gonna be really weak and twist or break alot easier, but it should be ok for a temp. fix.
