I'm replacing my flywheel with the 40mm version and decided to perform a leak test. two things.... first is when the flywheel is off the crankshaft i have a small back and forth play. and when i did the bubble test theres a leak between the crankshaft and the inner race of the front bearing... is this normal and how can i seal it if its not. thanks....

Well if by back and forth You mean from back of engine to front, if so then yes a small amount of play would be normal. Second since the inner Diameter of the bearing and the Crank are both steel you will never have a complete seal. So in my opinion you are ok. Now if the crank wobbles side to side then I would say your Bearings are bad.

Thanks no side to side play. and when i tighten the cone/flywheel everythings ok but still small amount of airleak.
i am having tuning problem but most probably... being a newbie, it will only start when i have it on half open throttle. and wont hold a steady idle.
