I never leave the house! I'm disable and no income and in the process of getting my disability. I got nothing but time and a few untraced $$$ occasionally to play with. Also 2 acres of property to bash on and 5 dogs to chase!! Give me something else to reply to my friend.

One of the 1st things you should do to that 1st gen Revo is to add the engine mount brace if one is not installed (doesn’t look like it in the pic). That chassis is notorious for bending in the area of the engine bay and the brace was not part of that model but was with the later models once Traxxas realized their boo boo. The chassis braces helps but a rear wing is also a very good investment. It helps prevent engine head and engine mount damage, keep the rear of the body protected, makes a good wheelie bar and carrying handle.

Has the wing already and was told the reasons why being what you just said. I will check into the engine mount brace as well.

I'm glad you're able to enjoy yourself there.
This hobby also got me through some rough times in the past.

Yeah i think I'm really going to enjoy this as a hobby. I already found myself staying on this site more and more every day. You guys are great to have for support and info. I believe i have got my father interested in nitro rc cars as well. Today he made the comment that if i get him interested in this my mother is gonna be pissed! And then i let him drive the revo around the yard a few times till he hit his truck tire with it when he froze up on the controls at 30 mph or less. No damage but he suddenly gave the controller back to me and said how much fun it was. Thats why i want to keep both the revo and tmaxx running so he will run them with me. There are plenty of places just up the road from me to bash with red clay areas sand and good jumps. Its perfect!
