Every morning when i take the bus i see a big dirt track behind a school and theres always bikers on it. Me and my friends decided we want to know how to get there, we finally went on are bikes, and when we got there, we met up with about 10 guys with there nitro trucks going round the track bashing like mad. Anyway thought i might post some pics and show my find! Finally a track close by.. Never thought of my truck on it , just bikes!

oh hell yeah, thats a nicely built bmx track, looks like alot of fun with a basher.

If it wasn't for the big long berm in the back, and that starting gate, I'd think that was a pump track. But yeah, bike tracks are great for RCs.

Thats a nice find, be sure to take pics when you take the truck out there!

Right before your eyes and nothing you could do about it, what did they take it knife or gun point? how ever it happened that sucks.

I would love to run my e maxx on that track, if I ever get it back together..

Long story haha with MANY complications but yea theres nothing that i can do about it

Not to burst anyones bubble, but have you considered that someone might have put allot of work into that BMX track and would not like to have you or anyone else tear it up with RC's or pit-bikes.

Only saying this because we have a local BMX track who have lots of problems with RC's and pocket bikes ruining their track surface.

it doesn't seem to be that kind of track
i use to ride BMX and the only kind of track that u would ruin is a rhythm section which is basically just a line of jumps where the surface has to be really smooth and compact.
This seems to be more of a racing track and the effects or RC's wouldn't have to much effect on the riding surface

Ya I dont really care. Pit bikes are more important than bmx bikes lol. I know track work sucks but if its built right it shouldnt be that hard to maintain no matter whats getting ridden on it.

The only damage a pit bike is gonna do, is to the lips on overly steep jumps. You usually only see those at dirt jumping trails. I have seen one video clip of a track in Pensylvania that had a jump like that. Both the bike and rider were carried off the track, broken.

Back in the 90s BMX Plus! made comment on people running RC cars at a BMX track they were at. The comment they made was that the RCs seemed to be actually improving the track surface. The problem these days is that they try to make the track surface as smooth and hard as those infernal paved berms that have become so popular. Smooth is fine, but hard just sucks. They may as well just pave the whole damn track. A lot of racers started switching over to freestyle street tires, and most of the new race tires look like street tires. That alone says that there is something very wrong with the current state of BMX track grooming. There's a reason I look for MTB trails to ride my BMX on, these days.

I say let the RCs run free, and reintroduce the racers to the concept of knobby tires.

What you consider a proper BMX track is beside the point. When someone puts time and effort into a track it's disrespectful to go tear it up. We've had quads and pocket bikes on our RC track making deep tire marks in the surface of the track, and ruining the jumps.

yes i completely agree with you and know what u mean when u say people tearing it up because we use to always get motorbikes ripping up our jumps

what i am trying to say is that i doubt RC's would have an effect on the track condition

but you DO make a valid point

I used to not give a f**ck but after getting to know a fellow racer who's just happens to be the coach of the Danish national BMX team, I've gotten to see things from his POV. Euro style BMX tracks are extremely groomed, and RC completely ruin them in no time. 1/5 gassers are the worst.
