I went for a hike in the hills near my house and found a lovely rock pile to crawl on. I am very excited to have a place so close to my house. I can get within a half mile or so of the spot by driving and then would have to hoof it. Next time I am up there, I will snap some pics.

Oh you're sooo lucky you added that. You almost got the "this thread is worthless without pics" emoticon. However, I'm sure somebody else to get to it before the pics are up :stick: Time's a tickin' :)

I walked from my house to get up there. It is probably a 4 mile round trip and none of it was flat so it is going to take me at least 2 weeks to recover enough to make the trip again to take pics. :green-grin:

lol i hear ya, i hate walking....it is awesome to have some where natural so close to home that doesn't take a bunch of work to make fun, i have a few that arent covered in weeds and sage brush. congrats man.

Congrats on the find, Rob. You guys really suck. It doesn't matter how far I walk, I wont hit rocks. Here in Louisiana, its dirt in all directions. I lived in Nashville for a while, and you can't pour a slab or build a flowerbed without having an explosives engineer come in and blow the rock out of the way. I didn't realize how much the opposite from that it is in Louisiana until I got a crawler and started looking for rocks. We have one place that's about an hour and twenty minutes from my house that has natural rocks, and that's all anyone has been able to find lol. Everything we crawl on here has been brought down the river on a barge and dumped for erosion purposes, which is a lot different from big flowing natural rocks.

lol that does suck charlie, i guess u should move up here then we can go crawling all the time lol. the problem with here is most of the rocks are covered in weeds, although two years ago there was a fire here that covered 56,000 acres and burned off all the weeds, if i had only owned a crawler then i would have been in heaven.
