Well I got my Ford GT body done for my RS4 3 18SS. I really like the way it came out, what do you think??

I didn't use the light buckets on my first one either, but I did on my others. I've built four Ford GTs now. a blue, a white, two reds...

Thanks guys.

I fubar'd one of the light buckets when trying to cut em out haha, so I decided not to use em. Eric it is a darker blue, but the pictures make it look lighter. Its actually just a little bit darker than the ofna chrome top starter box. Its Pactra Brilliant Blue.

jon2, the window trim is decals.

Nice pic mustangman, I've seen a real Ford GT in person twice, both at a car show haha, weren't supposed to touch it, but I couldn't resist haha.

Looks good AC48 for a Ford lol :jk: Thats a sweet Rs4 I wish I had never sold mine :(
I never even drove it just added a bunch of aftermarket goodies and sold it to buy my T-Maxx dunno  lol

New bod looks great AC, but I agree with Zandor, the light buckets would make it even sweeter.

I saw a brand new grey GT40 on the road the other day, they are awesome.

yea, they are truly awesome, especially when your behind the wheel of one going 100mph in 2nd gear!!!!!

Thanks guys, I used light buckets on a C6 I did and they looked pretty cool, but I still love the way the Ford looks.

I did the light buckets on my C6 and yes, if you make a mistake in grinding them you might as well not use them.

Looks real good, AC. Nice crisp stripes.

If you have a Dremel use the small sanding drum to make ruond holes (or at least more rounded corners) in your body openings as they will split and crack into the body upon even the smallest impact if you leave them at 90 degrees, or even close to square.

Revo, I thought about making curved holes after haha. I don't have a dremel, but I have left them like that on other bodies and I haven't had trouble with the cracking yet. Since they aren't on the outside where most of the impact is they have been ok. Usually I get cracks right at the top of the wheel wells. I'll keep an eye on em.

Thanks Lessen

The body looks great. Not a common color. Hate to ask a dumb question but I have the same body and cannot figure out how to attach the back piece to the rest of the body. Can you help me out? Sorry for messin with your thread

You need to use some double sided tape. There should be a little strip of it that came with your body. You use three pieces, two on each side tabe and one thats right in the middle of the spoiler. Thanks for the comments. I've seen a few blue with white stipes GTs around and I thought they looked cool. Like I said that blue looks wierd cause the pics make it look too light, its really much darker and looks better in person.

Thanks for help. Regardless of how the pic came out I like the colors. Havent seen a pearl white with red striped yet maybe that would be cool to try.

Looks great............love the color. Keep up the good work!
