Ok I was at work and my daughter calls asking about this owl on our refrigerator I though she was smoking crack. I said its probably something your mom bought. She said it looks real and it turns its head and watches me. I said might be one of those Halloween things with a motion sensor. well after several more conversations with her and my wife getting home nope real live owl on my fridge. My wife called a wildlife preserve near by and a guy came and removed it.

Poor little guy had the WTF? look in the cage.

Looked content before that.

Whats funny is I have 5 dogs in my house none of them knew it was there. I have no clue how he got in. I went out to my shed earlier in the morning and left the kitchen door open he had to go in then.

ha, thats some funny poop !! good thing your daughter didnt tease it ... i hear they can be seriously mean.

Wow that's pretty wild! Looks like some variation of a screech owl, very mild mannered but VERY odd that he would fly inside and be content hanging out, you must have a really chill house!!!

Thats killer man! Owl's are sweet, never seen one up close usually its in the wee hours of the morning when me and my buddie are putting the boat in the lake down in San Deigo we see them flying around. To have one in your house, I bet theres some saying somewhere that youll have good luck!

Figures it'd fly in the house and sit there all day asleep. Owls are nocturnal, they only wake up at night. It probably flew in, roosted on to of the fridge and thought 'winner, warm place to sleep!'. That last picture of it in the cage box is asking for a LOLCAT :)

So the owl finds your stash and he's the bad guy?!

Seriously though, send that first pic in to honey grahams, that's great product placement.

Well we were informed that my stash thieving owl has been released and is probably back in my neighborhood. Actually they said owls are deeply nocturnal they are hard to wake during the day. Hence how content he looked and The big eyed WTF look was the equivalent to bucket of ice water thrown on you while sleeping.

Close the door!
What do you, live in a barn?

I freaked out for a second, thought maybe my parents were perusing the site. :whhooo:

That is pretty crazy, you wouldn't think they would fly indoors like that. After finding the stash, he probably ate all the Honey Grahams.
