Why would anyone want to remove the reverse. What I mean is, what's the purpose of the "forward only conversion". What other things need to change because of it?

This is a great chance to test your search button.
Read the 50-60 threads about this then ask us to help explain anything that you don't understand. It will be a great learning experience.

It's not that I can't be bothered to search, I just get yakking with the people here that I forget. Thanks

You will find that after a point people will be more willing to help if they know you have tried to help yourself first.

Well, i will add my 2 cents to the pot. I didnt like reverse for one main reason. That reason was that it made the take off choppy and somewhat slow for some reason. The forward only conversion makes the take off super smooth, and it takes out extra weight.

Are we not allowed to chat with other members to find things out? I thought other members would enjoy teaching someone who is a newbie. I would consider it a pleasure to help someone else out. Don't you guys with the knowledge enjoy watching a newbie muttle along, knowing you can help out? Whatever.

It removes a big chunk of rotating mass out of the trans. It also makes it stop lurching as you drive forward. And, you don't have a servo that's always "on" since you need to remove it entirely.

I had reverse for about 2 weeks. After the novelty of it wore off, I replaced it with an FOC and really liked the smooth takeoff.

hugo,

its not that members dont enjoy helping we do .....there just a fine line, its not what you asked but a good example is savage vs tmaxx ....its a valid question but how many times should we have to write the same things over again? ...when a quick search will probily give you your anwser quicker ......then ask any questions you have about what you read

what everyone is trying to say is we have already answered this exact same question a TON of times.. as well as many others.. we dont mind helping if you still dont get it.. but do research befor tossing a question out..

Another good thing is once you have a general idea of the answer you're looking for, you can expand on it and get even more detail.

It's not to bit off your head and piss down your throat, just a way of keeping repetition to a minimum. Otherwise, why keep an archive? Welcome to RCNT.

My bad, guys. I'll try to keep all that in mind. Thanks for all the help.
