what would this do to my tmaxx? I mean whats so good about it. Why would it take off weight and then do stuff? I'm not sure, I still have the reverse on. Let me know if i should take it off, and if i do , then what are my advantages

I still have mine on too. I rarely use it but, just didnt really see any advantages of taking it off.

yeah, i raced last sunday, and i had to disable my cord for it so i wouldnt accidently hit it to reverse. b/c its not allowed in a ROAR race. So i didnt see anything better in handling or anything. But some ppl say taking out that extra servo and stuff will do some good.. I'm not sure if 1 pd. would ya know. thanks

It takes out a lot of rotational mass which will result in more speed and it also gives a much smoother takeoff. Between the servo and all the gears you take out, it adds up to more weight than you think.

Upgrading to the foc will allow for much quicker acceleration by remomoving weight and sustantially reducing rotational mass. It is by far one the least expensive and one of the best hop ups that you can do to a t maxx.

WHat he said and no more of that annoying ass clicking noise. It won't add top end speed but the acceleration is awesome compared to having the reverse idler gear.

FOC's are FOCING great and easy to install. Clean if needed and lightly lube all your plastic gears when you have it appart. Just be sure to install the included screws if you get one as your tranny will be trashed from dirt offroad if you don't.

annoying ass clicking noise??? I have the reverse still in there and I don't hear a thing. I'm not takeng it out anytime soon. I can show off way better with it!:OMG:

When it's idling, you get the lurching as you slowly apply the throttle. This is caused by the clutch that is on the reverse shaft that engages the primary drive.

A FOC removes this clutch, so no more lurching.
