has anyone tried to put foam in the stock savage tank...kinda like a fuel cell to stop the sloshing, keep more fuel over the pick-up and decrease volume slightly to keep pressure up?

I'm still waiting for the new tanks to be available..

Have you tried adding a spritz of Armor All in your fuel? This is a tip that was suggested a while ago by a member. Do a search for it if you want to read the original post.

i'm not sure you understood...my fuel isn't foaming, i'm just trying to find a way to solve some of the half tank issues without having to add a header tank or purchase a smaller tank aftermarket tank...i have a fuel cell for a larger car and it has a foam (a fuel-safe, filter like foam) that prevents the fuel from sloshing around excessively in turns or over rough terrain...I can't find a scale fuel cell, or a supplier who make sa similar product...just curious...

My bad. After I reread your post it made more sense. Give it a try and let us know the results. I don't think it would hurt anything.

I think the nitro will break down the foam and you'll end up with foam pieces in your gas, in your filter and even worse, maybe in your engine.

I understand the concept. Take some volume out of the tank so the pressure thing isn't such a big deal and so the gas doesn't slosh around as bad. The first thing that came into my mind was a seal platic canister inside of the gas tank. The problem is trying to get it through the gas cap. LOL.

I think the dual tank mod would be a better alternative to putting anything in the gas tank. You could also just hang loose until HPI starts selling the redesigned tank. You could do like some people do and just tune the engine at a half tank. *shrug*

Good Luck,
Rob

This is a good question and answered by one. Does anyone make a fuel bladder/cel similar to those being used in 1/1 race cars? If so I'd like to know about it.
