Mine arrived just a couple days after ordering from Florida. Way more than I expected for my 100 bucks, and bigger than I expected for 18th scale. I'm gonna get some running video tomorrow on the backyard track.

Comes in a latching molded foam case

And is awesome!

I was teetering on the fence. The molded EPP case (that I don't think they even featured on the product page) shoved me over the side. Heck... the case, battery, charger and radio are worth a hundred bucks. The truck is a free bonus! 😄

My Goosky helicopters came with cases like that and I love them. They are extremely handy for safe transportation and excellent for storage. It is so easy to handle and transport models that are nestled safely inside. For storage, they allow you to stack up your models like blocks and keep them dust-free in a garage or basement that might also be a workshop with lots of sawdust, etc. in the air.

It's a balance charger, that plugs into a wall outlet, and has 2s and 3s ports. Not bad. It's slow at 800mah

Those cases are nice, kinda backwards how the cheaper RocHobby models came in these nice cases but most fms come in cardboard boxes, at least 1/10 scale rigs

Tempting, but I've spent way too much on RC stuff lately. And got more coming today. Great looking rigs though.
I feel this, just spent a bunch. I'm really trying to convince myself not to buy 2 and setting up a course in my yard

I wish all models came with them!

I just finished loading up four vehicles for show-and-tell with my friends' little boy (and his dad, who is now also apparently hooked on RC). Trying to put the vehicles, transmitters and batteries in the truck so they travel safely is sometimes troublesome. They just aren't shaped right to pack easily and safely. Plus it takes a few trips from the house to load them up in my Ford Maverick. I probably could have carried out one big stack of cases, if they all had them, and everything would have been easy to place in the truck and safe for traveling.

And all the transmitters and batteries would be cased with the model, rather than me having to sort through them to find the right transmitter and battery for the particular model we'd be running. The combination of protection, organization and convenience those cases offer is a big benefit in my opinion.

Having driven the truck, fun was had. The motor got hotter than is desirable. Gonna check the pinion mesh, size etc when I get a minute. The diffs need thicker grease for sure. So far it's pretty great.
380 motor size offers a lot of options. I'm sure I can shape and mold this thing to be an ultimate vehicle for my backyard track. There is definitely room for 2 on there and would make for some awesome racing out there.

I opened up the pinion cover. Mesh seems fine, it does not seem to have much in the way of adjustment.
It is a metal gear with a set screw....that had no loctite, was a bit too far down the shaft with only 90% engagement of the spur tooth width, and for some reason the set screw was secured opposite the flat on the round side of the shaft.
We run it again tomorrow! ....maybe tonight we test and see if the light bar throws enough power to run the track after dark....
