Depending on your esc, you could adjust the punch control so you don't loose traction by spinning the tires.

One of the ESC programming options is called punch control or punch level or something to that effect. You can turn that down so the motors power up is smoother off the line and it doesn't just put instant power to the wheels and they start spinning. Different tires could also help.
