She has looked at corian, but for same reason she wants to get stoned.
I know my place when it comes to the kitchen.
I will chose a battle that I can win.

Women and marble counter tops. Sheesh. I want to replace all of our counter tops with corian. Wife wants marble. Looks like we are sailing on the same ship Ed.

Diver,
I only do as I'm told when it comes to the kitchen. (I'm sure you under stand the relationship of an Asian Women with her kitchen) I believe shes looking for a slab, something to lay my dead body on when I bitch about the price.
Oh yes, all too well! Only difference is that she wants the "clean look" of stainless steel in her kitchen! I don't know which is higher in price but I do like the idea of a commercial looking range/oven.

SS looks great in the kitchen, but it's a bitch to keep clean... It's a fingerprint nightmare.... They do have the non marking/smudgeing SS appliances, but the vibrance of the SS is not as nice... After going way over budget on my wifes kitchen, marble counters was out of the question.... lol We opted for a high end formica, with a corian roman beveled edge... Looks great to me...

Guys don't let Eddy fool you with this honey do list being as long as santa's natioinal want list. Eddy's got himself a real doer himself, with that said look at those pictures again. The broken tiles are right on the edge of the counter... so tell us Eddy how did you two manage to break the tiles, got any pics of that too? :D

Diver I agree, when I get one of those real jobs with my own real house I too want a kitchen done in stainless steel. Just something about SS that looks pimp :smoke:

LMAO,
Yes WoodiE the tiles got broken from "Banging" in the kitchen.
Banging my head against the counter top every time she mentions remodeling.

I saw her in the master bathroom holding a decorating magazine with that look in her eyes last night. I'm screwed now. I guess the only way to get out of this gracefully is to call Queer Eye for the Striate Guy and see if they think I'm cute.

So Ed, was the use of "Striate" intentional or did you totally mistype "Straight"? If it was intentional, it's one really good obscure joke. And if it was unintentional, it was one really fitting Freudian kinda slip....

And all this talk of kitchens is killing me. At least I'm not the only guy that pays attention to that room. It's sad that SS is so hard to maintain. Because I've always wanted an industrial looking kitchen. Viking range. SS ovens (2) set in the wall. SS side-by-side fridge. I am even planning on SS appliances to match. It's either that or a retro 50's diner look in black and white tile....
