my sons been seeing me work on dang near every truck EXCEPT his basecamp. weve gone on 2 trails and hes had to sue other trucks but keeps on about missing his camp.
so i ordered him the

Treal SCX10 III Front Axle CNC Aluminum 7075 Front Portal Axles for Axial SCX10 3 1/10 Scale AR45 Axles

and the driveshafts to repair it.
i also downloaded and printed out a skid plate adapter for the

XPT3 LCG Transmission - RawSilver
raw_trans3.webp

and plan on swapping out the transmission while I'm under the hood.
the camp is already sop danged capable, this can only help as far as i can see.
but more than that I'm tired of looking at the trans sitting here waiting on a build that hasnt started

Nice! You should teach him how to fix his rig so he can get that aspect of rc. Or at least that's me, do what you wish 🤷‍♂️
i hear and agree!! hes helped me with the repairs each time,
most of the things done have been cause i wanted to lol, he breaks the axles consistantly so I'm throwing aluminum to keep that panhard mount link intact.

It does look like he skips leg day. 🫠🙃
Stock driveshafts are almost always the first thing I blow up on all my crawlers. It always amazes me to see people still rocking plastic after adding weight to their build. Makes me wonder what the heck I’m doing wrong lol.

I've gone through many ring and pinions, broke bolts off in lockers, had tge metal axle to the wheels been replaced. All of that was on my scx10ii 2000 xj. I replaced tge stock axles once as it came apart and I lost the metal part and they were developing play after years of abuse. The factory axial wb8 are amazing.

Dang! I have blown driveshafts out of every single solid axle truck I’ve owned. I think it’s because I primarily drive them on rocks and like to bind them up and throttle out of odd positions.
