Does anyone use their diffs? I was looking at the center Torsen diff but it is like $200 for 1 diff. They say you get 40% traction off of just the center diff. Before I shell out dough like that on a diff I want to know if its bad ass. The make stuff for all top level buggies not just the Storm. Here is their link if you have never heard of them. Any info would be great.

and yes they are a GS company.

Which buggy are you putting this in?

That just seems like a shitload of cash to go dropping into a diff!!!

Unless I was going for the world championship I wouldnt do it.

I from time to time get in some extra cash. I am trying to race so those are my aspirations. It is a lot thats why I am trying to educate myself about it first. It will go on my Storm Pro w/Sirio .21

Well they make some of the BEST parts in the world soooooo, if you have the cash, and dont mind spending it, GO FOR IT!

I would love to know how well they work. I've been kicking around stepping up to the LSD or Torsen diff's by Kyosho.

Fioroni makes ALL kinds of parts for your K called TEAM OPTION including the diffs.

you have a storm pro too? I didn't know that. I thought that you had a storm rtr and put the carbon fiber stuff on it, and some other things.

go look at my gallery you will see both buggies in the same picture. One is RTR and the other is fully pro now except I need the rear universals.

The Storm RTR blew a front bearing in the outside of the knuckle and thats why it looks gimpy.

Yeah I was thinking about going with their shock towers versus the racers edge. And the braces as well. None of it is cheap either! Quality sir!

humboldtblazer,

I would not buy the Fioroni diffs, for one reason, the caps are not secured in and they will come off during racing (I did that mistake). You can fix that by placing some silicone inside.

But I would say, you are better off buying an OFNA diffs and for less (around $99 from AceHardware Hobbies).

Ofna Diffs

(humboldtblazer rolls on the ground laughing until he wets himself)

All sealed diffs should be filled with silicone. Did you have the "Torsen Traction" or the "Storm Traction series" they are completely different and I was looking at the more expensive "Torsen" version. And both versions are designed to be filled with silicone

i agree w/ you humboldt.... lol rotflmao!!

The reason why it's funny is because ofna doesn't make anything. lol... they distribute things and put their name on it.

i like your crowd pleazer maxx body. I was thinking of buying one and adapting it to my storm just for kicks. I wonder what it would look like...

Thank you. I am going to buy a sweet $200 air brush as i am using a $20 one right now. So I hope my painting will get better. Painting is a lot of the fun of this hobby for me. I get to be all artistic or at least try.
