firestorm problems plz help

i bought a hpi firestorm off of a friend and he didnt take very good care of let other people tear it up and one person ran it into a concrete pole wfo well its back together and running now but whenever i go to start it i have to turn the idle way up to get it to start and when it starts if the wheels stop it dies I've cleaned everything on including air filter fuel lines and all the good stuff i had reset the the clutch spring to the way it says to in the book to see if that would help but it didnt.....what could the problem be?

Did you set-up your carb(idle screw) so you have close to 1mm gap?

yep i did that and it still done it
