So I was drivin and hit a park bench cracked my fuel tank and the truck caught fire do u think it will b ok if I put a new tank on it or is this a rebuild nothin melted looks ok but the fire w as friggen crazy

You'd want to go over the truck and make sure nothing else was damaged in the crash and/or fire first. If the only casualty was the fuel tank then replace it and you'll be good to go.

Got any after pics? Been doing this a long, long time and have never seen a nitro fire from a crash. Just curious as to what melted or burnt.

Nothin melted or burned I was super quick to shut it down and swing it around like a crazed man tryin to get the fire out CRAZY my wife said it was hilarious I didn't think so:-'(

I've seen a lot of good nitro wrecks, even had a few. Never saw a fire. I'm sorry I missed it.

Dunno it all happened so fast my guess the clutch. But who knows bought a race clutch cause the stock bell was getting so hot the clutch shoes were melting and slipping I don't think that helped a whole lot

Could have been your servo. I know a guy whose Savox 1258 caught fire during a run. Also, what clutch are you referencing. Not sure what a race clutch is?
