As I stated in my introduce yourself post I bought used revo 2.5 last Friday was in good shape but needed some tuning and stuff. In my venture of trying to tune on my first day I got into some thick weeds and gunned it Bad Idea a big weed got wrapped in front Drive shaft smoking my spur gear. Fixed that made another attempt at tuning couldn't get it to Idle, was running real lean after about 2 hours and few thoughts of how well a sledge hammer would work, then noticed that the zip tie on the exhaust manifold was broke. Fixed that 2 days later try again and just when I think I am getting close the clutch bell bearings go. So get them and a FOC and fix all that. Now try again and as I feel I am getting close it starts to not wanna idle, so after some forums searching came across I idling issue post that suggest checking fuel tank o-ring well I check it its bad so I could have went with a 2 dollar o-ring but instead grab the 150cc tank. Now we are cooking and my headaches have eased I do keep giving the roll cage a run for its money but hey that's what its for. I will probably drop the cage in a week or two for a proline crowd pleazer body after my handling gets better. Til then I will keep the full cage.

yeah grudge and i had some fun today while burning our way through a few tanks...:D

a couple minutes of dialing in the tunes and next thing you know 2 hours have gone by and the trucks need a cleaning again....:buggy1:
 
I'm sure we all have that same problem one time or another, i know i did. if you get a proline body, make sure its the .060 lexan body. its very strong and durable. and if you break it. it can always be repaired with Shoe Goo, and scrap lexan. or i use Shoe Goo, fiberglass sheets and some resin. it works well also. but it should be good and lighter than a roll cage. i promise you will never go back to the cage.

Glad to hear your truck is up and running, and now you know what extra parts to keep around if anything like that happens again. good work
 
HA you don't know me I never break some thing I can fix with whats on hand it will always be something else til next thing you know I will be able to build a brand new car with the extras in my tool box. That is how things go for me.

EXACTLY!! It's the same way with me. I try to buy an extra part here and there, and make sure I have an extra of what I think I might break........... NOT!! It's always something I don't have on hand. :hehe:
