 Hey guys I finally picked up my new ride. As soon as the rain stops I will proceed with my break in. My wife actually is showing some interest now and asked if she can drive this while I run my Savage. I think by saying yes just sealed the deal for me to get something else next month. We will see. Anyways, here's a pic of my ride. An OFNA LX Comp and the right price of only $279.00 + tax. I will be racing kbeckwith17 soon with his new LX Comp. Well that's all for now.

Scott.

Have fun with it... time to beat the piss out of it and get it dirty and broken.

My buddy has one. Its a great buggy for the price. I would also advise a better steering servo. Its the cheapest POS servo I have ever seen!!

All RTR's have crappy servos, it's expected. The radio's are generally garbage, but you can replace the servos, especially the steering and be way better off.

I have to say for the price you can't beat this buggy. Kbeckwith17 and I finally had a chance to bash our LX Comps and other than my muffler pulling away from the rubber connection (a hard nose landing) from a 5 foot tall jump, I am very pleased with my new ride. I will look at the servos soon but I am getting some road wheels in this week at the LHS and need funds for that. Thanks for your input guys.

Scott.

Cool man, glad you like it. You going to rally it too, or just get some tires for the street so you don't tear up your off road tires?

I would like to rally it but the lids for 1/8 scale are costly. I'm just getting new wheels and stiffer springs for now. Here's a pic from some of my bashing on sunday morning.

Scott.

I hear you Wa2fast,my mistake. I am still trying to get it tuned so I left the lid off for better access. If I had known Kbeckwith17's wife was taking pictures I would have put the lid on. She took some great pictures that day.

Oh I know... I was just giving you a hard time, that's all. When I am tuning, I never have the lid on... till the final bit where I need to compinsate for cooling where I usually end up richening up the mixture just a tad. I do all of my tuning on road though... save off road for when it's all good. :smoke:

I'm still waiting on my road wheels. I wish I could adjust onroad but I just can't sit back and look at that damn buggy doing nothing. "It just sits there staring at you and I just can't take it anymore". LOL.

Trust me, I know the feeling... I had to setup shop in the basement so that it doesn't get the best of me staring at me all of the time :)

dude, you didn't invite me!!!! I'd would have loved to have been there Sunday with you guys. I can se that the pic is at the BMX track too. :D

I wish we had a BMX track around here. There are tracks, but they are private mostly and there is nothing like that where you can just go and tear it up like that.

Darthracer we didn't have your home number. We decided to go Saturday night. The weather bites around here and we can't even make plans to go because of this crappy rain. I want to go again this week but the weather sucks. We are going to try and go one of these mornings on the weekend. We have to go early because BMXer's show up at about 10:30 am. As for the BMX site, it's good for bashing but you can't race there because it's so congested with jumps. It's nice to test your skills though. We will get a hold of you Darthracer if we go again. Mother nature will decide that and it will be at the last minute, so be ready.

I wasn't trying to bust your balls. :)

Anyway, yes the weather sucks. Yes, early on a weekend is good. I could get out for a few hours before the wife and kid get up. :D
I could always give you my home number so we can try and get together some time. I have no bash partners and running by yourself is fun only for a short while. I'm going to start working on re-assembling my GS Storm so I can run it before the bash in August.

I know what you mean, sarcasm is hard to accomplish when using a forum. Anyway, the weather looks like sh!t for the next four or five days. PM me your number in case the weather changes and we get some dry weather. We could also run the buggies onraod if you have street wheels.

Scott.
