If you want to know how incredibly FAST your car can run, you always find out during an uncontrolled runaway.
Another lesson, the colder it is, the more damage it sustains. Parts that flex in the summer heat get hard and brittle when it's cold out.

LMAO no kidding I was hauling a$# trying to catch it YEAH RIGHT not even close at least I know how fast it really can go I was impressed lol and it wasn't real cold mabe 40 but cold enough to shatter the hell out of my truck :hammer:

Okay then, Candyman and I share equal responsibility on this. Hehe. Good to share the guilt. Takes some of the load off me.

Blue Man Group
I like that. I think you have something there. lol
I guess FastEddy was promoted to "Agent Orange"

Guilt? No. Actually getting some sick enjoyment out of the mental image of Jesse freaking out and running after his Maxx. Sort of like handing the torch over to another newbie. We've all been there. Time to enjoy someone ELSE being there....

hey jesse what shocks did you have LOL on your maxx

There "where" Hot bodies I diddnt pay alot I think I got them for $35-40 on ebay something like that. They snapped like twigs. When I get the rest of the parts that are now scattered all over my counter I will put my stock ones back on and later on down the road I might replace the two that where shot across the field and 40 mph :jet:

:whack: I'm sure it was kind of a funny image. I was chassing it goint OH SH#% OH Sh&^!!!!

Okay, I admit it. I was only messin' with ya. I don't feel guilty. I'm glad you got it running right because a runaway at idle speed would never get you in shape.
Every time there's a runaway at the track, it always seems to find its' way out to the parking lot and head for fences, parked cars or the 4 lane highway. It's always a blast to watch guys running as fast as they can, trying to get within radio range of it, while waving their antennas as high in the air as they can get them. Funny thing is, no one has ever succeeded.
When they carry their car back to the pit area, everyone is laughing, while the runaway driver is still trying to catch his breath.

Yeah I agree now. 3 Hours ago I was very very upset/mad its all good now just have to start saving my pennies and I can go and drive it again but not before I add a fail safe new rechargable batteries and mabe a long dog leash LOL tie it to the bumper and the other end to me so It yanks me down on my A$$ hehe now that would be really funny!!!

That truly made me lol!!! That is almost the exact image of me today by the time I got home I could barley breath and my wife was all concerned about me wondering what was going on and I set my truck in front of her grumbling as I went out to get the rest of it. She we cool about it and told me not to worry we would figure a way to fix it :)

Thats would be awesome Zandor thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My 1 1/2 year old daughter was just trying to fix her daddys truck It was funny she was in the kitchen trying to put the tire back on.

Here's a tip for getting back into shape:
When the car is fixed, and ready to run, give the controller to your daughter, and stand at least 50 feet away from her.
When she hits full throttle, totally out of control, try to decide if you should run for the car, or run towards your daughter, to get the radio away from her.
Have you wife video tape it and post it on this forum.
I'll be looking forward to seeing it.

Thanks man I'm a stupid newbie lol but it wont happen again so frustrating!!

no, I'm the stupid newbie..

<------ see! but for real, I feel your pain. I had a head on collision with a moving Chrysler 3 months after I got my first Maxx.

Hehe, Those Chryslers dont budge much against a T-Maxx do they

i got alot of stock parts and i am willing to donate to the cause...lets work something out

i got the whole set of shocks and arms and more stuff that i can't remember...

stock parts dont cost a thing anyways..

youll be up in runnin in no time..

I remember my first runaway....lucky for me I didn't break a thing.

Put together the carnage list, I have some spares layin about I could send your way.

Mr T

Hey Jesse, it sounds like we have real nice people here that can donate stock Traxxas parts to you. Put together a parts list and between Zandor and the others I am sure you will have a rebuilt front end.

BTW, this is a good argument on why you do not want aluminum or Ti suspension pieces. Most likely the chassis would have snapped instead!!

You guys are awesome. Nice to see you all pull together and get Jesse back on the road. Lord knows he will need his rebuild money he saves by getting parts from you guys to buy a stockpile of fresh batteries!!!

let us know what u need...i have the shocks for sure..

and maybe a exhaust pipe...and some a-arms...and some pins..
