Well I've had it for a week now and today was the first time I got some time on the track. All I can say is "I'm sold!!!". I don't see my slash getting much attention for a while.

I am disapointed though that my local track is only going to let the Blitz run in the spec class if I change the motor out to the Titan motor from a slash. I cannot express how much I hate that motor. The blitz is so quiet and that Titan motor sounds like it's got sand in it.

So now the question, do I just tear into it and run mod or install that god forsaken Titan

It's not the motor that's loud. It's the transmission. That's exactly how it is with my SC10 compared to the Slash. The slash is so noisy, and then I put the same exact system from the Slash into the SC10, and it's quiet. I'd say put the titan and XL-5 in the Blitz and go show those Slashes what a real truck can do.

Since I sold off my spec slash to fund the purchase of the Blitz, no regrets, and of course my local hobby store is out of Slash motors.

Guess I'm off to fleebay to get one.

Will the stock speed control in the blitz run the slash 12t 550 without burning up?

Well there was 4 of them running wends night, all with the Titan 12t and none showed any signs of problems after 3 races.

I dropped one in mine but didn't spend any time racing with it, running the SC10 instead.

i thought that i wouldn't like the blitz cuz it a carbon copy of the sc10 which i purchase and sold it with in the same month ...but it surprised me ...the way it handles ...very esay to drive and it not touchy like the sc10 pluse you dont have to spend days try get a good set up to race it good out of the box...just change the steering arm's.... like slash.....i still love slash's and will always have one...i beat two mod blitz at my local track with my mod slash ...over all blitz.. step it up...and it a good addition to the sct class....;)

maybe give the titan a chance before plunking benjamins on a more expensive system, unless-you have some esc combos lying around waiting to be installed.
whatever your decision let us know.

Yea, my first shot at the track also

The Blitz was great, "it took a lick'n and kept on ticking"...the only thing that sucked was my driving at first.... :)
