Wow, sounds like quite the motor. Good luck with it. Yeah, those Impalas were tanks. Good muscle cars, though. I had a '69 Camaro RS/SS 396 that I swapped a 454 into it, an AC Turbo 400 trans and few other mods. I geared it a little high so it only ran high 13's in the 1/4, but it would burn rubber with Posi at 90 mph on the freeway. Dyno reading at the wheels was 400 hp, 600 at the trans.

That would be awesome lol. With some lower gears it probally would have taken off like a Jet :jet: hehe. I went to a car show on the 4th and there was a very sweet bigblock ss Camaro there. I was trying not to drule on it lol here is a pic of it, very sweet ss

DAMN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! that right there is my dream car,i love the 69' rs/ss,you can never go wrong with a camaro.

Yeah, it was all good except I could never get the little head light doors to work right. I had mine painted with black Imron and white stripes.

Jesse, have yourself a nice few days of rest before surgery and think about all the great things you can or will do after you heal. God Bless.

Thanks Revo I will do that, I have a preop appointment on the 20th. By they way did the light doors work on Vaccume? I could imagine they could be a pain in the arse lol

Yeah, they worked on vacuum. I replaced all the lines and the diaphragms. The right one still would not open all the way. Replaced/lubed the hinges, everything. Wonder how they even got it off the dealer lot 10 years earlier if they worked that poorly!

LOL I dont know, The ones on the Chargers where the same way. That would be a good aftermarket item to invent lol a conversion kit that makes them work of electric motors hmmm Idea!
