My LHS did not have any and didn't know when they would get more. Ordered one from Tower, but they kept moving the arrival date back so I canceled. Finally found one at Stormer Hobbies in stock and it is on its way. I didn't realize how difficult it would be to get one.

Can't wait to start building. I have already picked up a bunch of hop-ups and now I have a truck to go with them.

I am looking forward to comparing the SS to my T-Maxx to see how they compare.

You might want to consider the four spider mod before you even put it all together, my rear diff grenaded on about the 10th tank, and I had to pull it all apart again. Also before you install the mill, remove the pull start and check the backplate screws to see if they have been locktited, mine were not.

I will have to research the four spider mod.

I am going to use the MP steering mod since I hate mushy steering.

I also plan on using a rotostart during break-in, then switch back to the pull start. I plan on checking the backplate when I put on the roto.

In case anyone is wondering, I have no intention of putting in the reverse.

Hey rob. Don't bother with the rotostart. Use some after run in the mill and pre heat it using a blow dryer or heat gun. I also wore a glove, but found it not necessary. I had no probs starting the mill this way. Besides, pre-heating it better for break-in anyway. Just my opinion.

Yeah, I am not completely sold on using the rotostart at all. I most likely will just use the pull start and put the $$ for the rotostart elsewhere. I am assuming this engine can't be any harder to start during break-in than my Force 25 in my buggy. After 3 blisters I finally got smart and wore gloves.

It also helps to put some fuel in the carb. Less yankin on the silly string.
Now you have the money for the diff mod.

One thing that really helped with the Force 25 was to use 2 washers on the plug. Ofna gives you 2 washers with their plugs just for that reason.

Now to research that diff mod....

I never thought about 2 washers on the plug. Thanks for posting it. I'll remember that in the future.

Just found all the info on the spider mod. Looks simple and doesn't cost much. I will definately be doing this mod. Thanks guys.

Now to figure out what weight of fluid to use.

You are an experienced guy with R/C I know you've been around a while, that being said hopefully you will have a hump pack to put in that bad boy since you will find it will make all the difference in the world. Glad to hear you are ditching that stock servo saver it sucks big balls. As for fluid in the diffs that is all personal preference. I am running 5k in both. Just started running it this way. Haven't noticed too much of a difference as of yet. Newayz good luck

It's here. Gotta love that Brown delivery truck. Looks like I got one of the last ones from Stormer Hobbies since they have changed the status to "on order" soon after I bought one.

Can't wait to get started on the build. Need to find the gears for the Spider Mod first though. Suckers are impossible to find in stock.

Rob you should be able to find them instock at even your local hobbytown. Mine always has them raring to go.

I called them earlier in the week and they are out of stock. I am going to call all the the shops within an hours drive to see if I can find one tomorrow. Hopefully I will get lucky.

If you can't find them, Tower has them in stock, but limited quantities on the gears. Part no for the gears-LXDLE4 and the pins- LXCWG8. Hope this helps.

Wrong part number on the gears. But regardless, you are right, they have the gears in stock. Yesterday they were out of stock. Thanks, order has been placed.
