We all knew it was coming, proline has finally released images of its 1.9 inch flatiron scaler tire that is set to debut at the iHobby 2008 show.

I just hope that it's in a super soft compound that will actually have some decent performance, which is lacking in most of the really scale tires that are out on the market.

I remeber when most said rc crawling was just a fad and will pass soon. It is great to see more and more big companies getting on the bangwagon. When I start messing with crawlers there were only a few types of axles and you got your chassis from a ban saw. :hehe::hehe:

Heck, it is just catching on around my area.

Kind of reminds me of when the first T-Maxx came out and then everyone jumped on the band wagon in the next year or so after it.

I hope more do catch on, and that only means more and better things to come.

It can only get better, which is very, very, exciting to me. The vendors on RCCRAWLER are turing out some of the most cutting cut edge products on the market. Along with Castle,Tekin,Axial,Hpi,Tamiya,Proline, and Losi the sky is the limit.

Those are sweet lookin' tyres. Look not unlike our very own favourite 1:1 off-road mud tyres in fact!

I'm sure they'll look real sweet on your shelfie Rolex :P

I just love seeing companies supporting the hobby, especially major companies. RC4WD is also releasing some pretty sweet new scaler tires.

Joe, I'm thinking of going with a set of these on my clod body trailfinder. I just hope the size is fairly scale for that body. Some of my favorite tires are a little too big for my liking.

can't wait for these tires to come out. Hoping to get my hands on a prototype set :D I will be sure to let you guys know the outcome.

I heard the height will be 4.3". I am sure the compound will be M2 which means its going to perform much better than any other 1.9 currently on the market. The lugs look to be the perfect height as well, most 1.9's available have really tall lugs for their size which I can't stand!

Make sure you post some pics so I can see them with the clod body before I drop any coin on a set :D
