in a recent post some they said to use either after run oil or engine oil is this engine oil the oil that you use for a real life car? when in the world does the after run oil come from... dont worry its because I'm a :n00bie: ill learn all this stuff eventually

motor oil yes as in the stuff you put in real cars for lubrication the heavier the weight the better, and after run oil is what your supposed to run trough your engine after your done bashing for the day

Do not use motor oil in your air filter. I am the one who said you can use after run oil as a substitute. I use it all the time in my filters, and it does the job quite well. A better idea would be to use actual air filter oil. You can get it pretty cheap at your LHS for about $3, and it'll last you a long time.

You can also get after run oil (ARO) at your hobby store, and it'll also cost you about $3. I've has my bottle of ARO for about 5 years now. I use it quite often, and I've still got 1/3 bottle left!
