Getting fed up with the stock shocks blowing on me and my t-maxx. what do yall suggest i buy? Big Bores? Do these even blow on you guys? I'd rather not spend 100 on something else that will break. gracias

well iam running 4 hotbodies shocks not threaded. The shocks have put up with alot of stuff jumps and a couple of crashes there only like 2 in a package for $ 20.00 its a good price for good shocks. Thats just my opinion you migh just try piggy back shocks those are nice but expensive.

Personally I really like the Dynamite/Losi shocks for my T. I have these and the AE shocks on another T. I prefer the Dynamites. They have threaded bodies, and no top cap, they are a bottom loading shock. The springs that come with just about every aftermarket shock set pretty much suck, so I use the Trinity blue springs on mine and I have been very happy with the results. I would definately buy the Dynamites again.

I run the AE shocks that NCNitro mentioned on my T-Maxx and they do well in all terrain and handle big air quite well. As he mentioned, the stock springs with most every shock you buy SUCK. I also us Trinity Springs. I use a combination of Blues and Blacks.

I recommend them, but want to mention two things. They do not come pre-built, and you need to buy aluminum caps separately (they do not come with them).

Altghough i don't own any big bores, i plan to. My uncle has a nitro sprot outfitted with big bores and the shocks don't blow. I know the sport is lighter than the T, but i've heard great things about the big bores. The shafts are also gold nitride coated and so are the shock bores.

Losi, AE, Dynamite or Big Bores are all I can vouch for. I currently run the Traxxas Big Bores and still like them alot!

Humboldt has has some great experiences with some 8th scale shocks too!

I run the Integy MSR4 Piggybacks and they run awsome!! i love them. i can bust big air and my truck wont roll over in the street.

Unlimited Engineering Supershocks. You get 4 shocks and a few different spring sets in the 60 dollar kit and thats all you really need.

I've got an 80% alluminum/steel T-maxx and only run 4 all the way around. I bought them before they started offering them with the spring kits so I use Trinity XXXheavy springs. My truck does not bottom out off of 10' air's.

These are more stoubt than Ofna's 9.5 buggy shocks that people sell on Ebay. So be aware that there is a strength difference between a standard 1/8th scale 9.5 buggy shock and the Supershocks.

In summary for $60ish Supershocks are hard to beat and you only need 4, unless you're running full Aluminum bashing.
