To all you dads out there hope your kid told you happy fathers day. Anyways i got my dad a rc10gt. He wants a tuned pipe and new engine. I have no experince with .15 side exhaust engines so i dont know what to tell him to get. the track has lots of turns and maybe a 20 yard straight(not big but enough to get up to speed). Price, there is no limit. Any suggestions cool.

cvec is a good pipe, various colors (some people have to have things match), its got an adjustable peice that can tune the truck down for topend or low end grunt, and fuel consumption. its a good deal at about 40-45$ the only problem i have had with mine is that the anodization (sp) is wearing off

An Awesome .15 side exhaust engine is a Fantom FR15 or OS 15CVRX. Depends on whether you want pullstart or not. Both are screamin motors. Should do him just fine.

If he is into racing, the CVEC pipe is not an option. Most tracks do not allow it (even in the outlaw class). It is however supposed to be a really good pipe.

As for engines, I'll cast my vote for either the Fantom .15FR or the Fantom .18 series engines. Both very strong racing engines.

Pipes, can vary.

well if he wants to race then he can't get a .15 or a cvec. otherwise it's totally up to him.

btw that's a really awesome gift to give your dad for father's day!!

Crap! My storm has failled me for the first time today. I got it out to prove to him i could beet him and my storm failled me. Storm had been put away for 2 weeks. Fired right up on secound pull(most reliable car I've ever had). It was runnin way lean so i richened my hsn i turn and my lsn half a turn. I start it back up it idels fine, i give it some gas, goes two feet and stalls.(i thought this was nothing out of the ordinary). So i start it back up, same thing. The funny thing is this guy at my had the same problem yesterday(he had someone tune it and it ran fine). I thought right away it was the lsn. Btw it did not matter how much gas i gave the car it still stalled. So i did the pinch test. I pinched the fuel line and it for for seven secounds. More than three so i leaned it. Did the pinch test three times and it only went dowm one secound. Then i said screw it and leaned half a turn instead of 1/8th. Then it did not speed up for dying. Any suggestions would be verry helpfull!

Sorry for the 3 question in one post.

P.S. My dad is getting the fantom .15 with the fantom rpm .15 pipe.
