You plug one end into the receiver where your throttle servo goes and you servo into the fail safe unit.

If your ordering other stuff from tower get it and you wont go wrong. If its the only thing you getting you may want to think about this unit. Its smaller and known to be reliable. There are several different units on the market and you want go wrong getting any of them.

I've been using the OFNA one for a few years in all my rigs. Hasn't let me down yet. It also goes to the preset position if your receiver pack drops below 4.8 volts.
