Not really, but if your engine is flooded, it will go slower.

if you have trouble starting pinch the fuel shutoff till it starts that is what i do.

To answer your question: No, there are no warning buzzers or the like to show that your starter is loosing it's charge...

I've found out one thing with EZ-Start.. Ditch the blue wire and get a glow driver...... your starter batteries will last 10 times longer! lol
