Is the plug for starter wands universal? I have a Traxxas Nitro Rustler and have that red button on the black box that straps to the battery. I was wondering if the plug on a wand is the same and could be substituted for that little black strap-on box.....??

Yes you can use the traxxas box that mounts on the car. You either mount a battery on the car or plug it in when starting.
