I want to change from an EZ start system on my REVO to a pull start. Is it a direct bolt on or do i have to buy anything besides a traxxas pull start and a glow plug ignitor? I'm tired of the ez start. Thanks

I thought about that, but is it a direct fit, like no other changes except taking ez start off and bolting on the pull start?

I used the EZ start on my revo for a while and also got tired of it. I put the pull start on it and used that a while. I just put a sirio .27 in the revo and the EZ sart just went back on. I soldered the wires onto the starter to save myself the frustration. The ez start is much more convenient. Just clean/replace the OWB and solder the wires on the starter and it will give no more trouble IMHO.

I proffer the pull-start as well. The ez-start was handy, but it doesn't tell you much about what the engine is doing. The pull-start lets you know when it's flooded and when compression is getting bad. A well tuned engine will start in a couple pulls once the engine is primed.

Even when I used an EZ, I still used a seperate heater to heat the plug before the engine started turning over. Helped it start up a lot quicker. Kind of surprised traxxas didn't include a two position switch for that on their ez-start. Half push to warm the plug, then after a few seconds, push further to fire it up.

Thanks I'm gonna put the pull start on when i get home, and try it in this 40 degree weather.
