So this is the deal. After i hooked up the c/f shock towers on my rustler and i finnally got it all together .I ran it for the first time in about three days it started up all right it was runnin poopy the motor sounded like it was poppin figured it was cause i hadnt ran it in a while. Then when i got it warmed up when i woulr try to give it some gas ,well STOMP on it it would cut out and die. Happend abotu three times. The third time i walked over and tried to start it the motor wouldnt even turn over. Both lights on the easy start lit up and everything but the truck acted like it wasn't even hooked up to the ez start remote.so my P.O.S. rustler is dead what the hell do i do with it . that is besides throwin it in the garbage and buyin a losi or assoc. Pkease help and sorry for the ramblin cause I'm pissedat the brick:angry:

hey dude so you dont confuse anyone, motor=electric, engine=nitro. It sounds too me like something else may be broke other than just the ez-start. I would suggest buying a pullstart system for it, and throwing away that "ez-start". The PS will lighten the truck up, and you wont have to deal with having batteries charged for the ez-start and such. Unfortunately, I only have the first generation ez-start (which truly is the biggest p.o.s. I have ever had a chance to expirience). So I can't help anymore than suggesting you get rid of the ez-start.
hope this helps

yeah... so i took it all apart and the ezstart motor wont turn so i guess thats the problem. i guess i knew that i just needed to vent. i got into the hobby thinkin i would forget the frustrations of normal life. hahahaha shoulda did more research so I'm gonna go stick my head in the old microwave and see if that will help relieve the preasure:microwave

Check this out sometimes a little screw, or a litt peice of gravel/metal gets caught inside the motor of the eazy-start. Check it out you might be surprised. I've found that's the place where the little screw I lost always ends up lol...

that might be cause i took it all apart and the easy start motor would turn a little then sieze up on something .its just frustrating
The damn thing is practically brand new
guess ill just shut up and keep buyin parts

naw pry the tabs off the hold the back of the E-Z motor off, pull the motor apart and look inside for peices of debris if you find one, you found your problem.. if not 300 motors are cheap :D

I took my air compresor to it and poof the motor now spins but it doesn't spin easilystill sticks a little but i pluged it all back together and it works so at least thats one less part i have to buy for my rustler.......welll for now at least i didnt get time to run it cause it was dark so i bet tommorrow something will break on it.
I can't wait

Did you double check and make sure the battery for the EZ-Start was fully charged? Also, with the symptoms you mentioned, it sounds like you may also have a faulty glow plug. Whenever I get a boggy start, the first thing I now check is the glow plug. Nine times out of ten, that is the case.
