I made the steering block mod on my Revo and reset the endpoints. With the MX3-S radio, the highest end point setting is 120% left and right. However, when I checked the steering angle after resetting the endpoints, I discovered the endpoint setting fell short of the new (modified), actual throw. Any tips? Ideas?

Never mind. Just checked the Slayden mods and he notes to use a longer servo arm with a new, heavier duty servo, which I have.

Damnit! Just when I thought I could actually offer a useful suggestion, you go can find the answer yourself! Did you not get the memo? You're supposed to ask a question WITHOUT researching it, then argue with the answers! You getting all uppity with us now?

Thats not going to work.
You are going to have to shave 1/2'' off the a arms
DUHHH.

For a minute there, I was ready to go out in the garage and fire up my new Lipo cordless Dremel and try that, Zandor, until I realized what "A arm" meant...

BTW, Traxxas website is now advertising/premiering the new extended wheelbase A-Arm set. Adds anywhere from 10-19 mm of chassis length. I had considered the CF extended chassis, but with these arms, you get the best of both worlds. FYI only.

I had to do the same thing when I dremeled the steering thing. I think my EPA's are around 105 L/R right now... I haven't changed them since I dremeled the steering brace. I forgot.

RR... i've been seeing those new A-arms. do you think RPM will follow suit and make them as well? it'd be a shame to have RPM in the front and the lamo traxxas in the rear.

I bet RPM has them in production right now. I like the idea, kills two birds with one stone.

Totally. i plan on having an RB by spring time, and i'm not all about the extended chassis. i don't mind the reassembly, theres just something about it that strikes me as funny. these will do nicely and sufficiently to keep the front end down... well... better than nothing anyway. i love RPM... they make the essesntials... thats for sure. if they make it, everyone is going to buy it - save the bumpers... but they had a good thought.

I've heard a few people say that they e-mailed RPM and asked and RPM's reply was they have no intention of making them. They have said that about a few other things though and that turned out to be a false statement (ie axle carriers).

Rancher, when you did this, did you shave those bump stops off on the steering brace? I ask because I did, went to a single servo, added the Proline steering arm and HD servo saver spring and today it seemed I'd need to drive it out-of-town to turn it around! Even with my EPA's set at 125%, just didn't seem to turn tightly at all. Did you change the servo horn or do something else to tighten your steering radius?

MW, couple of more places to shave, check the Slayden mods. Also, my arm was hitting the servo outer guard so I modded that. That is not in the Slayden mods on Traxxas.com. Mine now goes lock to lock. Also make sure batts are not troubling you. Mine, if low, will not pull a full throw. I use OFNA 1400's in all my rigs, too.

Will do. Thought I shaved everywhere, but my wife found a place I missed (oops, wrong thread!)

Now I have a reason to tear the front end down anyway! I'm leaking diff oil out the front, and I think it's because I forgot to put two screws in!

Thanks guys! I looked at the Slayden mods again and clearly missed a few places that need additional grinding and attention. Also need to switch the servo horn out.

I asked RPM about the Ext Arms and they said that nothing was going to be made but I really doubt that. Why would you not make something everyone wants? I have the Qoncepts Rear Axle Carriers and that alone gives a 1/2 inch longer wheelbase!

Happy Bashday!
