Extra Hex Keys

Am I the only one who throws away perfectly good hex keys? I have a pile of spares that I've accumulated over the years, and more and more they are ending up into the trash. How many 3mm keys does a person need?

If there is someone here who would like them, I have a few boxes to sort through and I'm sure I'll have 50 or so that I don't want. If you pay USPS flat-rate shipping, you can have them for free.

Funny, I was just thinking about that the other day. It's not just RC cars, little tools come with everything these days.

You can always send them to Forged in Fire to make knives.

I keep trying to figure out how to make something out of them. Maybe a throne like game of thrones. only with hex keys.

The right angle hex keys that get "included" tend to be pretty disposable, made of softish steel to looser tolerances than hex driver tools. Once you have a T-handle hex set and hex head screwdrivers for 1-5mm, you really stop needing those keys. I wind up using them as spacers and tiny pry-bars. Even a set of hex keys will be of better material, and even better if you get ball-end.

I chopped one so the short end was only as deep as the screw's socket head in order to reach a very hard-to-tighten bolt under a door overhang, they're good for jobs like that.

I keep a bunch of those little keys kicking around on my benches and tool boxes.
I leave them because I'm always farting around with SOMETHING. Keeping little, regularly used... screwdrivers, pliers, 10mm wrenches...
Those little allen keys are around like some ppl leave pens around.

Too funny
Amazon sells packs of them. I thought about buying a bunch for pseudo stocking staffers for friends. One can never have too many 10mm sockets or #2 phillips screw drivers.
