you will probly get a bunch of people telling you to search this out.. because there have been a bunch of threads on it already. As far as racing goes, it depends on what track you're running at. I personally run a CVEC pipe for bashing, and i can get the stock 2.5 truck to flip on its lid when tuned right (counter productive.. but fun). Do a little research into how tuned pipes work, as their shape, material, and internals all have an impact on how they will augment your performance. Things such as cone length and pipe width will help determine either low end or high end boost and different materials will hold or diffuse heat better.

I also run a CVEC Z800, I had the rear exit(comes out above rear bumper if using one) on my race rig, I LOVE IT, but one of the guy's I tour with on the series ran a Fantom pipe and that was an impressive pipe too.. I love the power from the CVEC and I love that it comes out the back of the truck--very nice looking too.

my buddy has one for his savy, when that pipe first came out they made one for the savy and t-maxx

I've always been personally sceptical about the rear exhaust pipes where the header dumps straight into the side of a can-style "pressure chamber". unless the insides of the can are contoured, i can see a lot of turbulance and whatnot becoming a problem. Also, without any sort of divergence(sp?) cone, or any real graduation into the bigger chamber, how does this affect performance? I'm no expert but i'm just not sold on the design of these types of pipes.

tmaxx exhaust

I was reading about some of your exhaust pipes. Have a fantom and a CVEC. The CVEC has the best power, but when you crash the truck it rips the pipe away from the header. Rear exit is not such a good thing.

I had one bad experiance--I landed on the tail in a race and packed the pipe--the only problem I've had, and I don't even run a rear bumper.

hey rusty fan, I have the exact pipe you are asking about in your storm hobbies link on my t-maxx. it is better than stock... but it is a pain. it isn't set up right to mount on the maxx and stay in place.Ended up fabricating a mount now it stay's where I put it. and it is a top end pipe, right at zero low end. but once the R's hit it will sing.
