hi

I am new to RC . I just bought my first truck. A exceed mad beast. i ran 3 tanks of fuel through it doing the beak in of my motor and it worked fine. now when i give it gas the motor reve's up real high sounding, but the truck does not move. any ideas what is going on. Any input will be great,

thanks smonk

First of all it sounds like an air leak. You may want to pick up some silicon that is fuel proof at an auto-parts store. Use this to seal the backplate and the carb openings. You will need to let the motor sit overnight while the RTV silicon cures. Once that is complete, go ahead and continue the break-in process.

Sounds like a slipper problem, too. Make sure your slipper clutch is tight enough. May need a drop of removable locktite on the threads.

Sounds to me like it could be the connections from the engine to the wheels. sometimes nuts loosen and the power goes nowhere, just an idea.. have a look.

you were right the nut on the slipper clutch was loose. thanks for the help
