i was wonderin what one of these did and if it did do anything does it help your performance:moped:

Exhaust deflectors just keep the oils from gooing up your tires like a Tmaxx does. On my MGT, I trimmed the Deflector about half an inch and it actually made it grunt more. I put another stock un cut one and the grunt wasn't as strong. IMO though. Once I install the VSM on it I will have more proof to show.

No prob I like mine on the Tmaxx and my MGT .Keeps it cleaner..not clean.Hehehe.

Quiter is more appropriate. It takes the sharpness out of the exhaust tone. Makes it a softer sound.

On my xxx-nt I have an OS 15 cv-r(x) and I put a deflector on it. It hampered performance some. On my maxx, with a 21, it makes it sound softer, but doesn't seam to affect performance.

where can i get a new deflector? i have an rc10ds with the canister pipe (you know, the little round one) but i dont have a deflector and i was trying to find one.

Any decent LHS should have one... if not, then check at tower hobbies and do a search or any other online hobby shop. They definitely don't make the engine quiet, but they do knock down the sound a little bit... and I mean a little, not too much. As far as performance, they don't add anything, they may add a tad bit of backpressure because of the extra length, but nothing notable. As far as keeping the vehicle cleaner, oh man... BIG time. I will never run without one again. It really makes a difference.
