everyone cooling head help

I'm my maxx i got a megatech

but the heads are so small the motor overheats and dies out after awhile it gets really hot

anyone know a good head that would fit the megatech to cool it better?

Hi, I verified if the head could be good for your motor but it's not. What you could do is try to add a cooling fan on your engine. try to find a mechanical fan, you'll maybe have to adapt it. There's another solution; an electrical fan but it's a little more complicated: I already tried to use one but the only problem is that the battery dies pretty fast if it isn't correctly built. If you want to try it, just ask me for the mounting instructions.

Can you post pis of the bolt pattern of your head?
The one you want an aftermarket head for ?

If so there are a ton of members here who have a lot of experience with aftermarket cooling heads. I'm sure somone here could hook you up, but we need ot know the bolt pattern. A pic's worth a thousand words.

arent all the bolt patterns the same on the megatech

i asked at lhs and they said theres no better head for the megatech

is it a 4 bolt or 5 bolt head?

email megatech and see if the NEO 16 head will fit your engine.....which megatech is it? The NEO 16 head is the biggest stock head I have ever seen......side by side its about a half inch taller than my bighead Mugen MT 12 and is bout 3/8 inch bigger in diameter.

i got a megatech motor

i just got my new megatech neo .16 motor for my 1/10 scale car. I havent broke it in yet cause my gasket went bad and i just yesterday replaced it with some heat resistant silicone and a gasket from auto zone. It's still got to dry but I'm breaken it in tomorrow cause the new gta games comin out. grand theft auto san andreas! I'm gettin it today! try goin back on the web site and buyen a new head maybe? I have the big purple head on it and i think it will work well cause it is huge so it will cool the motor down more.
