I'm getting ready to build an electric touring car. I'm going to get the tc4 when tower has it in stock. This will be my first electric and my first touring car, and I need to get up to speed on electrics. Anyone have advice on a good esc-motor combination? A forum that focuses on electric's more than RCNT would be a help too. Thanks

I'm looking at the novak super rooster. I'm really just looking for the best value. the super rooster is no limit for a reasonable price. At this point, top of the line isn't really a priority. I'm open to suggestions though.

you can also get the Novak dually it also is unlimited & a couple a dollars less than the super rooster. regarding the motor what are your intentions for the car than I can give you more details.

I just ordered the LRP quantum sport for my reflex 12,it's a good esc and reasonably priced.

well, I forgot to mention before that I want reverse. the super rooster looks like it's right up my alley. Someone asked what my intentions were for the car, I mostly plan on running in small parking lots with one other guy. Racing isn't out of the question though. There is a carpet track near, but they only run on sundays, and I'm usually busy then.

Then I highly suggest the novak Dually no limit you can program it with or without reverse so you ready for indoor or outdoor like I said they go for $120

If you don't care about racing, you could go brushless. you can get the novak 5800 system for around 200 bux after discounts on tower. I have one in my xxx-s and I would say it performs like a 10t just like novak says. The beauty of brushless is that there is no maintenance except oiling the bearings every once and a while. i have had mine for about a year now and have had no problems with it. if you don't want to go BL then the super rooster would be a good choice. for a motor , look at the speedgem pro series by trinity. they are a good motor for the price.

thanks for the advice. I just wanted to hear what people have had good luck with instead of taking a shot in the dark.
