$#!T damn it, man my VXL esc has been going down hill so before I was going to send it off I bought a CC MM. After I finaly got the high amp connectors assimbled I was ready to get this thing programed. Oh! But wait! The attachments that go to the motor are too big to fit the motors bullet connector wires to my Velenion. grrr... I have a trip to my parents lake house planed to day for 4 days out there. There are so many places to run it but not when there isn't an esc to hook up.
Oh well, guess I will take the 1/32 in case of rain or too hot to be out.

BTW, are the female end bullet connectors hard to assemble?

u have more patience than i do, i PROMISE i would already have spliced the wires together so i didnt have to wait lol.

i was thinking the same. either splice or go deans all throughout and always carry extras

Well, I would have except here is the other problem. I was thinking of squeezing the ones on the MM onto the velenion motor but, I am not sure how the colors are cordinated. traxxas is blue white and yellow, the MM is red black and white. anyone know?

shouldnt matter, brushless right? if it runs backwards then just switch two wires around.....i think.

if that doesn't work, it blows up in your face and your out an rc and a face... whats wrong with that?

Your mileage may vary but I've seen a lot of people switching away from the CC MM to the new LRP 1/8 scale ESC's. Seems the MM tends to fry easily whereas the LRP... well it's LRP, those things don't fry :)

I just ran into that problem yesterday, when my new Exceed ESC arrived. After I cut off the larger bullet connectors, I realized I had 3 blue wires and a red, black and blue connector.
I looked for pics on the internet, and finally came up with the proper sequence and soldered on the smaller bullets from the old fried stock unit.

I've seen an LRP fry before, it wasn't pretty and it almost frie the battery and motor with it.

Any brand will fry... especially if you over-juice it. But LRP has been doing 1/10 scale race motors since forever and they are rock solid and well known for it. From a friend who works at LRP they'd been holding back on the 1/8 scale products until they could have great performance without sacrificing the rock solid quality. Now that they're out, I believe they'll prove to be much sturdier than the other brands.

I've had an LRP Sphere TC ESC (their top of the line 1/10 scale ESC) fry after 5 runs on it. :\ CS was great and they sent me a replacement in about two weeks. Both brands and have their pros and cons....MM is more flexible (cell count wise)and is super easy to tune and adjust via Castle Link. LRP is higher quality and has a smoother throttle response inherent to sensored systems but programming is a pain. You're counting led flashes and praying that your settings are correct.

It wouldn't be fair to compare the MM to LRP's 1/8 scale system. A MMM would make a better comparison.

That is correct.
