I'm trying to find a esc for the ammo 28-35-3900 . i found the waypoint 35a esc for a good price. would this combo work well in my vendetta ? also will the stock servo and tx and reciever work? or is there abettr better motor and esc combo that is affordable ?

It's a brushless motor that has a 28mm diameter, 35mm length, and rated for 3900 KV.

Yes you can run it with that ESC, expect max amp draw to be under 25 AMPS on 2S with stock gearing. Stock tx/rx/servo will work fine.

Thank for the knowledge. I've researche a lot and I believe this will be the best bang for the buck but will it be ok to use a 3s lipo?

I have to correct myself. The Waypoint ESC is intended for planes. You can't use it in a car because you won't be able to "arm it", and it won't have brakes or reverse.

With that motor I'd run a Quark 33 procar or a Castle ESC.

Yes that would work fine. It's rated for 25 amps cont and 90 amps peak. Only thing I would worry about is quality. One of our members here had his EZRUN die within a couple months of normal spec running.

You may want to look into the Castle Sidewinder Micro ESC which is rated for 30 amps continuous. It's not much more money and Castle has excellent quality and customer service should something go wrong.

Ill take your word on the matter. If i by the sidwinder micro, in the futer would i be able to buy the neu 1105 y.2 and run it with the sidewinder w/3s lipo?

It will run hot on 3S, rpms will be around 57K. On 3S I would run the 1105 2.5Y or the 1105 3Y to give you 44K and 38K max rpms respectively. You can always gear up with the lower KV motor. With the higher power NEU motor I would run the Mamba Micro as an alternative. It has a heatsink and you'll be able to mount a fan to it.

I run the NEU 1105 1.5Y on 2S (51K max rpms) and it is fast to the point of being nearly uncontrollable on stock gearing with TC tires. The motor also runs on the edge of the temp range, right at 140, and I have to run a fan on my ESC (Quark 33 Pro). It does standing and rolling backflips but that gets old since you will wreck your front shock towers constantly.

Another option is Medusa Research's line of motors. Their efficiency is just as good (and in some cases better) than NEU and are very competitively priced.

With whatever NEU motor you decide on, you'll want to order it with a 12mm length shaft unless you want to attempt to cut the shaft down yourself.

Thanks again.. The medusa products look great, and the price is exellent. The have some seriously powerfull motors. Might want a bigger more powerfull esc like the pheonix's.... This all came about when i ordered my vendetta, when i opened it up and charged the battery pluged it in and nothing:( the esc fryed. I ordered 52k 18a ezrun combo just got it in yesterday. Well in the 16 days it took to get it I reserched and discovered it is grossly underpowered for the vendetta. Anyways i put the ezrun in today and it runs fine maybe goes 25mph with a 7.2v nmh with stock gearing, but i also ordered 4 3s 1600mah lipo's. I should get them monday or tuesday. I guess after i fry the ezrun i will get the medusa motor and pheonix esc. Hey thanks for all the help!!
