Should i re-wire my XL-5 esc w/ 10 ga wire or 12. there is so much restriction between the esc and motor that the solder mets . Comment plz.:bandit:

The lower the gauge #, the heavier the wire. If you are melting solder, you have a bigger problem than wire gauge.

Like Rolex said, you shouldn't be geting nearly that hot. If the 12 guage is melting, I think you would only be asking for a lot more trouble by going with a bigger wire. You need to find the short or whatever is causing the problem, then fix that. Once you get it straight, the 12 guage will be plenty.
