Esc BEC and rc relay advice

Hi I'm looking to convert a model excavator my dad built a few years back and am looking for advice on what I need before I buy alot of wrong parts if anyone thinks they can point me in the right direction that would be great

What parts do you want to convert or what do you want it to convert it to?
