IMO, with the expected cost at 750 bucks, they just priced a bunch of people out of this truck. 750 plus 200 for 2 lipo batteries and 100 for a decent charger means one thousand dollars out the door.

for that kind of money i'll look seriously at a new baja

Yup, that's too much (IMO) for a 1/10 rig. I'd rather spend it on a Baja too.

Hey guys, I'm new here. I was googleing/youtubeing and searching the last few months on what my first purchase of a "Real" RC would be. I wanted a e-revo and then learned they were coming out feb.16 (The mamba ones) which I'm willing to wait for. I've owned cheap rcs before , But never anything like this. My question is , What else would be needed in this package for good run time? I mean How long will a car of this size run on Batteries that come with it? Would it be better to buy Other batteries?..Thanks in advance and sorry resurrecting an old thread...

does it even come with batterys??

Looking at the ad again , I dont think it does..my Fault. What kind would someone suggest for running such a machine? I'm definately not wanting to run short on power or run time. :\

Edit...Just got off the phone with my local hobby shop. They said that the batteries alone for the new mamba max shipping on feb. 16 would be close to 200 Bucks each if you wanted Peek preformance(YIKES). He suggested just getting the E-revo with the twin titans and then later upgrade if I decided too. That way Batteries arnt half as much/run time will double/save Loads of $$
