As Alpine pointed out to me in another thread.

Notice that this comes with a Traxxas first....a 2.4ghz radio system.

yep, it looks identicle to that other one they put out, only brushless and without the gear lockers.

Looking at the partial picture on the traxxas site, the 2.4 ghz radio looks like the normal AM version. It screams cheap.

18 volt / 6s LiPO input voltage w/ 22.5 max! I now see why brushless is all the rage. Cool! Any idea on MSRP and/or street?

Street will probably be in the $650 range.

MSRP is $1200.

I actually have a Mamba Monster with a Neu 1515 to install in my EREVO. I have been unbeatable at the track with the stock set-up so I haven’t installed them yet.

Looks like I will be doing to in the off season since someone is bound to show up with one of these next season.

Think I will go brushless in the Slash first and check out the gains for myself. It is a lot of money for an electric...

Which do you suggest, Mamba or Velineon?

For someone who wanted a brushless EREVO, this would be the way to go.

The package is cheaper than buying the standard EREVO and then converting it to brushless.

Slightly off topic so forgive me, but I was thinking of brushless for my Slayer. Don't know which is the better setup/deal the Mamba or the Velineon? I have been leaning toward the Velineon strictly because it's Traxxas.

If I ever do go EREVO then you are right, this is the way to go...

I just might buy 2 traxxas in the future now. E-Revo and Slash...I'm amazed. I nearly swore I'd never buy another traxxas, I'm a changed man.

I assume you mean Slash.

The Velineon is more than up to the task IMO.

Yes i did mean Slash! LOL! My fingers are going faster than my brain. The Velineon Brushless System can be found for $154.99 right now--that sounds like a good price? Thanks for the feed-back Rob!

You will really like the Slash! One tough truck!

I would personaly go with the Mamba system just for the programming options. You can control EVERYTHING about this ESC by plugging into your computer. Well worth the extra $40 or so. + its just an all around great system. I have driven both, and my cheap ass bought the mamba.:hehe:

I don't know.

I do know that even though the Revo Platinum was "limited", you can still get them at some on-line shops.

This may be old news to some of you, but I just got word from Traxxas that the E-REVO Brushless will not be limited production, should hit the stores in December, and run about $750.00. Hope this helps if any of you are wondering.

IMO, with the expected cost at 750 bucks, they just priced a bunch of people out of this truck. 750 plus 200 for 2 lipo batteries and 100 for a decent charger means one thousand dollars out the door.

for that kind of money i'll look seriously at a new baja
